George A. Gellis, Esq.
is a founding shareholder and managing director of the Firm.
Mr. Gellis brings more than two decades of legal experience to his role as a founder of Gellis Law Group. His practice focuses on acting as outside corporate counsel for international venture capital funds, pharmaceutical and technology companies, as well as small- and mid-size cap corporate clients. His areas of concentration are corporate transactions, international trade and cross-border transactions, technology and venture financing and investments.
Previously, he was engaged as an executive vice-president and general counsel of the London-based Midland Oil and Gas Limited (UK), where he oversaw all legal aspects of operations of that international company, including Europe, North America and Central Asia. Before that he served as in-house corporate counsel of RGF AG, a Swiss-based private equity and venture capital fund, as well as general corporate counsel of Zuricher Energie Holdings AG, based in Zurich, and several New York-based financial companies.
Mr. Gellis’ experience includes legal risk management, negotiations, and coordination of complex international transactions, joint ventures, private placements, and production sharing agreements with governmental entities, as well as all investor, public, and government relations.
A graduate of the Stern School of Business at New York University and the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, he serves on the boards of several U.S.-based charities and associations.
Mr. Gellis is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and several Federal and State Courts.
